DIY oatmeal scrub!

Lactacyd sent me a glass jar of oatmeal for a scrub together with the other feminine wash which I reviewed here previously! (Girls, read it if you haven't!)

Personally, I haven't heard of a oatmeal scrub before.. Here's the information that Lactacyd provided!
Why Oatmeal?

It contains minerals that help soothe and heal even the most sensitive skin types, relief itchiness, redness, dryness and minor irritations. Oatmeal naturally absorbs and removes dirt and impurities whilst exfoliating the skin gently, leaving the skin feeling softer and smoother.

Here is the photorial (photo tutorial) that I've made because that post was too long and I got to just go through this oatmeal scrub briefly the other time..

Reiterating the steps:

  1. Take a handful of oatmeal in your palm and run your fist in lukewarm water for a while! Do hold your fist tight enough because loads of oatmeal went into the sink when I was trying!

  2. Squeeze and release your wet fist continuously till the oatmeal is softened by the water! Add more water with your other hand if there is not enough water!

  3. Slowly massage in circular motion on your face or body for a few minutes! I tried it on my arms for photorial purposes!

  4. Rinse off the oatmeal with lukewarm water and you're done!

I will say I'm pretty fascinated with the effects of the scrub!

Initially, I was still feeling grossed out by the damp and gooey oatmeal in my hands haha! I was also afraid I'd end up smelling like leftover breakfast or something, but there wasn't a hint of oatmeal smell when I washed the scrub away!

My arm really became softer and smoother after the scrub! There wasn't any redness, itchiness or dryness on my arm, so I cannot verify these properties of the scrub.

Nevertheless, it was a good scrub on the whole! It is gentler than other scrubs that I've tried, other scrubs usually contain coarse beads.. Since it is low-cost and can deliver immediate results, I will continue using it. Probably trying it n my face soon~

Yay go try this out yourself if you have the time!
