Hello to Kai Kai and Jia Jia!

Random update!

If you don't know who are they, they are the two giant pandas that arrived in Singapore from China, Chengdu, at 0820 hrs today (6 september 2012)! Two more new additions to the zoo lalala~

The pandas are in Singapore on a 10-year loan from the Chinese government to mark two decades of strong ties between China and Singapore.

They'll be living in the Giant Panda Forest, situated at the Yangtze River zone of River Safari at Singapore Mandai Zoo. However, you can only visit them in December 2012!

"Kai Kai and Jia Jia will each need to consume about 20kg of bamboo every day. This works out to a grand total of 14,600kg of food a year!" - Their appetite is humongous and I can't imagine how big they'll be like next time if I ever go to the zoo to visit them!!!

Here's a video of them by TODAYonline when they just landed in Singapore! I watched the whole video but actually you can just fast forward to after 1 minute to see them. The pandas looked blur and curious, giving the "What's happening?" look.

I actually tried googling for their photos but I realised I will never know which one is really them or some other pandas lol. So video is the best!
