My Hair Story #3 - Unicorn :)

Went to Sally at Shunji Matsuo 313 to get a hair change again, and I can't be happier! I don't know how she does it, I love all the hairstyles that she has created, but each time more than before~

I can't describe how much I love my hair color this time round, just continue and read on! Its not-so-ombre now as I guess most of you would have been bored of all the ombre colors already!

This is my third time there getting a makeover, and guess what's my hair color this time round? (Clue: the background of the banner below)

ME HAZ UNICORN HAIR!!!! This is a glimpse of the color strands that I posted on instagram. Pretty or not? I was super duper pleased with the entire color combination!!!!! Dreamy yet pretty colors!

I entered the salon with super gross hair, discolored and super messy because I don't comb my hair. Ran out of conditioner two weeks before and I keep forgetting to buy a new one :/ Plus I don't have the habit to comb my hair, opps!

The colors that Sally used on my hair is from Goldwell Elumen series just like before, they have a huge range of colors for me to choose from!

I told Sally I was kind of bored with ombre because its not that special anymore. She first suggested to me that I try out the turquoise color in the elumen series and I agreed as I kind of like the turquoise too! However, I told her that I still want some girly colors in my hair. And then, I left the rest for her to do the magic... Trust me, its not the usual 2-tone ombre this time round, something even nicer!

Here are the dyes used! She mixed some blue dye into the turquoise dye and violet dye to darken the colors and to make them last longer! There's also some pink in my hair!

Sally and Chisato (new japanese stylist) working hard on my hair! Meanwhile, I had loads of girly magazines to look at, and the staffs were so sweet to keep checking if I need more magazines to read.

There were more colors this time round so it took a teeny bit longer, but it was all worth it! I also asked for my hair to be blown straight after the dye because I wanna see if I like how I look with straight hair in case I want to straighten my hair the next time!

Here's the end product after the wait! If you look at it from far, my hair color looks 3D, like it has many different tones of blues and purples in it. Super cool right? I love how 3D my hair looks now!

Actually, what Sally did to my hair was 2-tone ombre, violet + blue on the bottom layer, turquoise + blue on the upper layer, with streaks of pink highlights on top of the turquoise layer! The color combination and the streaks of highlights really liven up my hair by a lot, totally ingenious! A super detailed and tedious job but Sally handled it with no sweat at all..

Comparison of the Before and After! My hair before going to Sally is just gross, I know haha. I walked out of the salon with smoother, neater and unicorn colored hair! The color combination went effortlessly well together!

Trust me, the 3D effect of this color combination is awesome, the photos can't do the effect any justice! The 3D effect causes my hair to look slightly different under different lighting, and here are some photos of my hair under different lighting (dim, normal, bright) to give you an idea why I say its 3D. The greens in the turquoise stands out more under dimmer lighting while purple stands out more in bright lighting! :)

Last shot of me with my 3D unicorn-ish hair! I know I've said this a lot of times in this post already, but I really mad love this color combination and the 3D effect that it gives!

You can be sure to entrust your hair to Sally if you need a hair makeover! :D
