Personalised Vanity Trove #7

If you don't already know from my regular postings, I'm pretty addicted VanityTrove.. Been checking out once every two or three weeks, sometimes sponsored, sometimes paid by yours truly.. I simply adore receiving beauty-related stuffs in the mail! They actually update the products onsite weekly, so everytime when I see new items available, I have to control myself from carting out too much ><

So here's another happy trove! :) I'm hiding behind my trove because I had no makeup on.

This time round, everything in my trove is new to me in a way, either brand or the function.

SKIN INC Pure Happy Hand Dew - I admit that I carted this out randomly, just because it is full-sized. I know nothing about this brand and I forget to use my hand creams most of the time. After trying it, I was amazed. It got absorbed into my skin almost immediately, not a single teeny weeny bit of stickiness at all (I swear, yes even better than any face product I've ever used), and my hands felt silky smooth. I always thought that there is no hand cream that is non-sticky, and lucky me finally found one thanks to VanityTrove!

Bvlgari Omnia Crystalline L’Eau de Parfum - All of you should already know that I love fragrances, how can I not check out when there is a new perfume available? This perfume has a floral and powdery scent to it :)

Bourjois Volume Glamour Max Holidays (Green Lagoon) - I picked this mascara because I was feeling adventurous then, opps. I've only used black or brown mascara so far, no other funky colors, so I'm not very sure if I will look okay with this turquoise colored one. Might try it when I'm feeling funky another time haha!

Jorubi Aloe Vera Gel - The description on the product is crazy! I only knew aloe is good for moisturising, soothing sun burn and pimples.... And at the back of the product, it says that it can be used for ulcers (even in the mouth), piles, stretchmarks, rashes, burns, cuts, insect bites, abrasions and bruises too! Crazy no??? Feels like I have to bring one tube of aloe with me everywhere already hehe.

Batiste Dry Shampoo Tropical - Coconut & Exotic - Aha! I'm new to dry shampoo too, 'cause I bathe everyday? Haha! But it is cool to try out new stuffs right? I just sprayed it at my hair, and it is quite amazing, no liquid or powder came out (I think?) but my hair feels super smooth now. Super cool! However, I'm not to used to the coconut scent, maybe I will go try this in other flavours another time :)

Covermark Moisture Veil LX - Haven't got to try this yet, but they are so thoughtful to include two foundation shades instead of one shade, as foundation samples usually come in one shade only.

And as usual, extra samples/vouchers! I think I've got 4 or 5 of the hair oil already, oppsies. Good that there is the DHC ones this time round, 4 different DHC products to sample!

Yep, so that's all! Get your troves here :)

Hada Labo SHA Hydrating 'Light' Lotion

A week ago, I received this cute package in the mail from!

Guess what's inside?

Looks familiar right?

It is the new Hada Labo SHA Hydrating 'Light' Lotion! Take note that it is different from the regular Hada Labo SHA Hydrating Lotion, this is the new and lighter version..

I've used both Hada Labo SHA Hydrating Lotion (the regular white one) and Hada Labo Arbutin Whitening Lotion (blue) previously.. I loved the whitening one and I remember disliking the regular Hada Labo SHA Hydrating Lotion due to the stickiness.. So let's see if it is really lighter now?

Reading the product information... Enhanced with both Super Hyaluronic Acid and Nano Hyaluronic Acid ingredients. Deeply hydrates and tones the skin texture, giving you soft and supple skin. Light lotion is best suited for oily and combination skin, or those who prefer a light texture.

Use every morning and evening after cleansing the face. Apply sufficient amount onto palm, spread evenly and gently onto face and pat until fully absorbed.

Opps can you see it on my palm??

Here's a close up.. They stated that there is no added color, fragrance and oil, and it is really true! It is so so so much lighter than their previous Hada Labo SHA Hydrating Lotion which was sticky.. This new "light" formula is really fluid and almost water-like, you can see that it is flowing along the lines of my palm, it was really "flowy" and I actually dripped quite a bit onto the floor while taking this photo!

This new light and non-sticky texture is definitely suitable for me as I have combination skin (oily when I'm living in school especially) and acne-prone skin!

Love the moisturising yet non-sticky finish, this new formula is definitely oily-skin friendly now. The finishing feels like I've just masked, with my skin being plumped up with lots of moisture! It gets fully absorbed very quickly too, in just a few seconds with one or two pats. :)

So happy that they finally have this Hada Labo SHA Hydrating 'Light' Lotion now, I believe this is what many of you have wished for too!!!!

Hada Labo SHA Hydrating 'Light' Lotion (170ml) is retailing at Watsons for S$22.90. Look out for the white bottle with green highlights like mine ok! :D

Trick or Treat?

Is it me or more and more Singaporeans are celebrating Halloween this year? Every weekend this October, my social media feeds will be flooded with photos of people who went to USS for Halloween Horror night, Sentosa Spooktacular, Scape Museum of Horror and more... Looks so scary but fun at the same time!

Anyway, I haven't got to celebrate Halloween this year, too bugged down by school work already.. (But BF says he's gonna bring me to USS for Halloween next year woohoo!) So the most halloweenish thing I did was to read about spooky articles on MFP (again lol).. MFP articles are like my source of information for everything, beauty, fashion and basically everything?

Here are some articles that you may find interesting.. Some are pretty entertaining (those hilarious costumes) and some are super scary that I didn't even finish reading! The scarier ones are the 4 from the bottom so if you're scared then don't read those few ok? :)

Beauty Destination by L’Oreal X Catching Fire Look

Here is the last beauty series of L'Oreal Beauty Destination, featuring their new SuperLiner Blackbuster and recreating Katniss Everdeen's Look in The Hunger Games 2 - Catching Fire! Sounds exciting right....? ;)

Previous series was Upsize Your Eyes and Les Petite Dresses For Your Nails which I've blogged about. Click to read if you wish!

And yes, this is the brand new one of its kind Super Liner Blackbuster. Will elaborate on this again later!

I went to L'oreal's workshop bare-faced, because we were going to learn how to create Katniss Everdeen's look there!

Products used to create the look!

Makeup Artist, Joy, was demonstrating how to acheive the look on Jessica.

It was the first time I tried out the blackbuster that night, and here's mine. It is the first ever marker pen liner, it looks like a marker totally hehe.. It is pretty easy to use, hence good for beginners. What amaze me was that it can allow us to draw lines with different thickness, and yes, even drawing the pointy ends of a winged eyeliner!

I also had a go at doing my eye make up that night, and here is what I acheived on the first try. I know, my eyes doesn't look like Katniss Everdeen's eyes at all.. But this looks okay for any normal day out!

Here's the nicer re-created look, done by Joy on Jessica! The eye makeup is so nice....

I went back and redid the makeup look with the blings again, and here's how I look! I think it is quite nice, although I still don't look no where near Katniss Everdeen at all opps. (By the way, the thing on my hair is actually a necklace from CLS, I think it looks quite nice this way as a head band hehe..)

You can view the full video tutorial for Katness Everdeen's makeup look here at Beauty Destination if you're interested!! :D

What’s more, participate in the Big Bolder Eyes Contest and stand to win $150 worth of L’Oréal Paris products and a pair of tickets to catch The Hunger Games movie. (I also want!!)

Superliner Blackbuster is available at $20.90 at Watsons, Guardian, Sasa, selected Super & Hypermarkets and departmental stores.

Cuteness Overload: Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2

I don't usually blog about movies, but today, I have a super cute movie to recommend you people! BF brought me to watch that show earlier on this week, or rather I pestered him to bring me, and I loved it so much! I think he loved it too hehe.

Yeap, there is a part 1 to this movie a few years ago, I can't really remember the plot but you don't have to know part 1 to watch this part 2! Part 2 is so much cuter please! The only thing I recall about part 1 was that this guy created a machine that makes food with water, and somehow the food became super sized or something.

Honestly, the plot for part 2 was okay-ish only, the type that will be suitable for kids. Watch this movie for the cuteness, if you're looking for plot then I guess this one is not for you. No spoilers, but you can view the sypnosis on any movie website anyway..

The foodimals are super cute, a combination of food and animals, and amazingly their names make sense. The people behind the movie are too creactive haha! Some of them are not hybrids, but these food are alive too, the strawberry, pickles, marshmallow, and so on... Ahh I love them hehe! My favourite foodimals are the strawberry, marshmallow, blueberry, pickles and leech!

Okay, I am just gonna spam foodimals now.... It is gonna be a little messy below, all the pictures are of different sizes as I obtained them from google!

Strawberry! This is like the smartest food in the movie, super cute!!!! I was squealing whenever I see it lol!!!

The one on the right is Cantalope, combination of Cantaloupe and Antelope!

Strawberry, tomato, blueberry!

The pickles... And they love sardines, super cute!

Butterfrog and mosquitoast..

The screaming leech, super cute it was screaming like forever LOL!

Wildebeet, I'm not too sure what is this, but still cute..

Su-sheep haha!!!!

Running bananas hahahha, bananostrich!

Flamango haha!!!!

Hippotatomus, tacodile, fruitcockatiel, subwhale..

Flamango, cantalope, wildebeet, crabcake..

Hippotatomus, cantelope, shrimpanzee, crabcake, meatbalrus, blueberry..

Buffaloaf, apple piethon, cheespider, bananostrich, crabcake, barry, cucumbirdy, eggplanatee, fruit cockatiel, flamango, hippotatomus..

Shrimpanzee, meatbalrus strawberries, mosquitoast, susheep, watermelophant, sweet pickel and pearl (onion lol), wild scallion, tacodile, wildebeet..

Pickle, fruit cockatiel, meatbalrus, tacodile, shrimpanzee, watermelophant, mosquitoast, kiwi bird..

Been gushing over them as I did this blog post that I forgot I was supposed to eat my lunch! Ending off with the strawberry video now!

Go watch the movie okay, it really made our day! We were like super happy after this lol :D
