Kin Kin Chilli Pan Mee (Singapore)

Sharing one of my newfound favourite food - Kin Kin Chilli Pan Mee! I've been there 3 times in the past one month! :D If you like salty food, you'd love this!

They actually have a main branch in KL (which I've not tried before yet), and earlier on this year, they came to Singapore. They're located at Macpherson Road, which is not very convenient, but lucky me have a direct bus from my house! Otherwise, you can take 62 from Aljunied MRT station, and I think it is about 5 stops if I didn't remember wrongly. (Please use your GPS and don't trust me blindly lol)

Actually this is quite a common dish in local food courts, which is also know as Ban Mian (板面).

Their selling point is actually the chilli flakes that we can add into our noodles, it is said to be godly and can melt in your mouths haha. My parents say that the chilli is good, I don't eat spicy stuffs though. And omg I forgot to take a photo of the chilli flakes, here's a photo from Tammy's blog!

Another thing is that they serve their noodles dry with a soft boiled egg on top! I eat it like carbonara, break the yolk and mix everything together. The noodles also came with ikan bilis, shallots, minced pork and pork balls. The ikan bilis and shallots really make a big difference.. Noodles was served al dente btw. It tasted really flavorful with everything mixed together, salty goodness, I say. Mmm...

Many say this noodles is overrated (not worth the queue) and overpriced, I don't think so. It is really yummy, I will just go at off-peak timings to have my noodles. Also, a mere $5 bowl of noodles served in an air-conditioned environment that can fill my tummy (I'm quite a big eater) nicely, overpriced? Seriously? Some food courts charge more than $5 for a bowl of normal ban mian FYI.

Here's the other options that you have over there, I'll recommend the $5 dry pan mee if you ask me.

Overall, the downside is the location and that they will force you to share tables with strangers during peak hours (oh well, they are not a restaurant after all).
