Year End Promo for Contact Lens X Geo princess Mimi Sesame Grey

Helloooo, it is December now, and 2014 is coming to an end!! Omg yay that means christmas, new year and then my birthday in 2015 as well as chinese new year~ All the happy events! :) :) :)
For those who are wearing contact lenses, I have some good news for you.. To thank their customer for the continuous support, Lust to Lush is giving 1 free pair of lenses for every 10 pairs of lenses purchased! Those who have been following my blog will know that I’ve been wearing contact lenses from Lust to Lush for more than 2.5 years, their lenses are definitely safe and they are very reliable. Thumbs up!
So yeah, this is the perfect time to stock up your lenses for the next year as well as to prepare a new pair for Chinese New Year! I’m also ordering my CNY lenses from this batch! :)
If you have no idea what lenses to get, do check back all my previous reviews on contact lenses from Lust to Lush!

I’ve opened a new pair of grey lenses recently, it looks super shiny and pretty, I’m in love!! I am wearing Geo Princess Mimi in Sesame Grey in this photo..

The Geo mimi series is one of my permanent favourites!

20141127_233557
The code for this series is actually WMM-305!

20141127_233704
This pair is basically three tone bambi lenses which I adore! Three tone lenses always look more natural and prettier hehe..

20141127_234009
Here’s a close up of the lenses when worn, the color is pretty obvious and yet it blends in well.. Also, if you’re wondering what falsies am I wearing in this photo, this is actually black diamond cluster eyelash extensions from Milly’s! I did them at the new outlet at Bugis Cube, nice right? :)
dsc06753_2
Anyway, since it is the end of the year, this is a good time to stock up your contact lenses for the following year. 10+1 pairs is just nice for a full year since I change my lenses every month or so.. Most of the lenses that they carry can last for a year actually, but I change mine every one or two months for hygiene purposes.
And most importantly, if you submit order for your lenses in this batch of orders, I believe you can get them in time for Chinese New Year too! :)
Don’t miss this awesome promotion this month alright? You can submit your orders via their facebook page :)

8 Ways to use Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse

I know most of you will not be familiar with using oil for your face, body or hair, so I am going to change what you think of oil with Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse! :)
I’ve actually blogged about this multi-purpose dry oil almost exactly 2 years ago as a guest post for Bellabox because I received a sample bottle of the Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse in my box, but I’m going to go through how to use it again since I guess not many people read my blog then..
dsc06577_5small

I was recently re-ntroduced to this product again at a blogger event held at Heerens, and I received a limited edition bottle of this baby at the event with the artwork of a “Miss Prodigieuse” on the bottle! Feels that I’m fated with this product??
20141104_232555_wm
Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse has been in the market for the longest time since 1991. It’s one of the very first dry oil created. With the trend using of dry oils getting very popular among ladies nowadays, it remains as one of the top selling dry oil in the world.
It is a cocktail of 6 precious plant oils (Macadamia, Hazelnut, Borage, Sweet Almond, Camellia and St John’s Wort), enriched with Vitamin E and free of silicones, preservatives and mineral oils. There are 2 versions of the multipurpose dry Oil, Huile Prodigieuse and Huile Prodigieuse OR (with shimmer).
20141008_215900_wm
As stated on the bottle, this is a multi-purpose dry oil which can nourish, repair and soften our face, body and hair. When they say multi-purpose, they really meant it!! Here are eight ways that you can use this bottle of goodness…
1. Hair serum
Dispense some oil onto palms, rub and spread onto hair ends. This works as well as any other hair serum that I’ve tried. The dry ends of my hair looked much healthier upon application, and the oil also smoothed out the flyaway hairs..
2. Hair Fragrance
Application similar to the above. I LOVE the unique fragrance of Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse, it smells like no other shampoo out there! I heard that Nuxe actually carries a perfume with this scent too, maybe I will go get it some day..
3. Moisturiser
Massage onto face or body. This dry oil is easily absorbed into the skin, leaving our skin silky soft and smooth, with a light healthy sheen and a tinge of fragrance. Those uncomfortable with applying the oil directly onto your skin may choose to mix a tiny bit of oil into your moisturiser instead!
4. Dewy foundation
Mix a tiny bit of oil into your liquid or cream foundation with your fingers and apply onto face. This works wonders! I like how it can transform our matte foundation to a glowly one effortlessly. Skin looks brightened up immediately and not to forget the benefits that this oil brings too!
5. Highlighter
Pat small amount of oil onto cheekbones and nose bridge with fingertips. This gives some shine to those areas, emphasising our facial features real well!
6. Make up remover
Put some dry oil on a cotton pad and wipe gently on target areas. This removes waterproof make up really well, to my surprise. Unlike most makeup removers that leave our skin feeling sticky and oily, it leaves our skin feeling clean, dry and soft.
7. Reducing stretch marks
I’m so happy to know about this! Ahah, yes I do have stretch marks. Was taught that it can reduce stretch marks during the bloggers event at Heerens, I’m so gonna try it on my stretch marks soon hehe.
8. For sexy looking legs
Apply a small amount onto legs. This works best for people with tanned skin! It will make your legs look toned and sexy hehe, no need for airbrush bronzers anymore. Of course, Huile Prodigieuse OR (with shimmer) will work better than Huile Prodigieuse for this point!
I’ve also read online that some use this as their bath oil, cuticle oil and hair mask.. Share with me if you’ve any special use for this dry oil, I’ll be glad to know! :)

Anyway, I’m currently in the midst of a facebook competition to be Miss Prodigieuse! I’d appreciate it a lot if you’re able to support me and give me your votes! ♥ Help me out okay?

Interstellar + d’Good Cafe

Helloooo.. One more week left to my last exams in University (I hope), so pardon me for being less active on my blog recently. Bear with me for one more week!
Anyway, I’m blogging with my phone in bed now (at like 3am), first time using the wordpress app to blog! Hopefully the blog post will turn out fine on your screen.. If this app works well, then I might be doing more of this kind of “diary-ish” (aka old school type) blogposts that I can type on my phone in bed before I sleep! Ohya, warning: grainy photos in this post, all taken by my phone and in bad lighting..
image
So… In the weekends, I went to the new cinema at Suntec City to catch Interstellar with BF! Golden Village Marina has moved to Suntec City, and there is no more Eng Wah Cinema.. I like new cinemas, better seats, better aircon and it is not too tiring for our necks even when we’re sitting at the third row from the front. I guess my favourite cinema is still the couple movie theatre at farer park!

Interstellar is the longest movie I’ve ever watched, almost 3 hours!! There are lots of good reviews online for this movie, and the bf loved it too, you might want to try watching it! Quite cool, if time can be a physical dimension.. Personally I find it so-so only, I feel that the movie didn’t end properly.. I’m just anal about things like that, opps. Maybe because I’m a science student and I want to know a proper answer/ending to everything.
image
Went to Holland Village for our super late dinner (because Interstellar is such a loooooong movie) at d’Good Cafe! Been there for a food tasting previously (another blog post next time), and I brought the BF there this time to try out the cafe as he haven’t been here before..
FINALLY… FOOD!! Was super hungry and luckily the waiting time was pretty short. (Self-service over at this cafe FYI)

image
BF ordered English breakfast and he was very happy with his meal!

image
The portion is really huge and the plate was almost overflowing! Fluffy scrambled eggs, mushroom, baked beans, grilled tomato, saussage, bacon and bread. I find the scrambled eggs a little bland but BF says that it was alright, guess I prefer more flavorful food…
image
I had carbonara! I love pastas, creamy and salty ones especially hehe.. It doesn’t look very photogenic here but it was good!! It was just right, creamy and salty but not too “gelat” (means sickening), I can finish the whole plate myself. I would definitely come back for this again! Oh and I forgot to mention, they were super duper generous with the bacon…
image
This is the Power Berries Smoothie which I picked. It was not sour at all to my surprise, but I was expecting a thicker and more flavourful smoothie blend.
image
Lastly, we also had a red velvet cake to go along with our meal! I was actually looking forward to trying their popular cheesecakes but they were sold out that day, boo, so I picked red velvet instead.. The cake was moist and the cream cheese was pretty good!
image
I might be blogging about my food tasting session at d’Good Cafe in another blogpost, do look out for it! :)

Back to Dark Hair

Ooops I almost forgot to blog about this.. Remember that I had blonde and pink hair previously?? They are all gone now, I went back to dye my hair back to a dark color last month.. Miss my blonde hair so so so much!
Why did I go dark again? It is because I had to go for interviews for my internship, hence I have to look more decent and plain right? Not saying that having colored hair means you are not decent, but I guess Singapore is still not open to this kind of thing in the corporate world. So there goes my YOLO few months of blonde and pink hair!!~~
20141001_181941
As usual, I went to Jerry from Shunji Matsuo at 313 to get my hair color changed. So this is my last photo with blonde hair!!! Bye bye blonde hair (forever maybe), glad that I’ve had a go at being blonde :’)
20141001_135835_2
Yeap so I got my hair dyed dark and also did hair treatment. My hair is bleached twice, so it is definitely dryer that normal hair and it deserves some pampering treatment every now and then.. Speaking of which, maybe I’ll head back to Shunji Matsuo 313 for another treatment soon! :)
Here’s my new hair color! It was a very dark (almost black) at the beginning, and has faded to dark brown now! (Hair dyes always fade on bleached hair by the way..)
IMG_20141009_201742
Some friends prefer me in blonde and some prefer me in dark hair, what do you think?

Purevivi Cleansing Lotion

Recently, I got to try out Purevivi Cleansing Lotion, which is a new 4-in-1 micellar makeup remover from Japan. It will be officially launched in Singapore on 10 November 2014 (which is tomorrow)!! :)
Remember those makeup removers that leaves your skin sticky and even burning sometimes? The oil makeup removers that leave a mess and require immediate cleansing? I hate removing my makeup because it is a troublesome and messy job.. I believe you girls feel me right? But……….. Micellar makeup remover is going to change your life, I promise!
Purevivi Cleansing Lotion is just like water, magic water I mean. No color, no fragrance and oil free, yet it is able to remove most waterproof makeup! I don’t know how this is possible, but it really works.. (I’ve tried it out, read more below..)
20141105_233930_mr1415208663075s
Purevivi Cleansing Lotion can dissolve makeup, cleanse, soothe and moisturise our skin! It is packed full of goodness, containing 9 moisturising natural fruit and plant extracts such as grapefruit extract, lemon extract, jujube extract, apple extract, orange extract, lime extract, coix seed extract, crataegus cuneata fruit extract and aloe extract.
20141104_171007_wm
Key product attributes of Purevivi Cleansing Lotion:
  1. Effectivenes: Dissolve makeup quickly
  2. Clarity: Leaves your skin feeling matt
  3. Freshess: Gives a feeling of freshness
  4. Texture: As gentle and light as water
  5. Made in Japan: Adheres to quality manufacturing standards
20141104_171222_wm
How to use?
  • Wet cotton with a few drops of lotion
  • Press wet cotton pad on face and eyes
  • Wipe off gently after a few seconds
  • Repeat steps until all makeup i dissolved
  • Wash face with clean water or move on to next facial skincare step
I’ve been using this as my makeup remover the past 2 weeks or so, and it works well so far! :)

Here, I’ll demonstrate makeup removal on my hand. I’ve applied waterproof liquid eyeliner from K-palette, concealor from Skinfood as well as lipstick from Clinique, all of which are pretty long-lasting usually.
20141104_171545_wm
With Purevivi Cleansing Water, I am able to remove about 90% of the makeup on my hand in one swipe after pressing the wet cotton pad onto my skin for about 5 seconds. I am able to remove all traces of makeup in the second swipe.
20141104_171652_wm
My review:

This makeup remover is really very very gentle on our skin, and leaves no sticky residue at all. I feel that this makeup remover is definitely good for anyone who has sensitive skin, and is perfect for those who puts on light make up! For those who puts on heavy makeup, Purevivi Cleansing Water works well enough too, but I would suggest using a waterproof makeup remover for faster makeup removal and less rubbing especially at the eye area, and then Purevivi on other parts of the face. A 500ml bottle at S$19.90, I say it is worth the money definitely! :D
Purevivi will be available at selected Watsons outlets from 6 November 2014.

Nivea Deodorant Whitening Happy Shave

Do you feel that your skin at the underarms tend to appear dark, dull, and rough sometimes? Did you know that regular shaving leads to skin damage and irritation, as well as symptoms such as redness, itchiness, and burning sensations?
I have a solution for you – the Nivea Deodorant Whitening Happy Shave! :D

20141104_214302_wm
I hate shaving, and whenever I shave my underarms (eg. at midday before heading out) without taking a bath, my underarms will become super itchy and tender. Thank goodness I found this Nivea whitening happy shave deodorant which works like a miracle on my sensitive underarms, totally a life-saver please!! ♥
20141104_214355_wm
NIVEA Deodorant Whitening Happy Shave contains provitamin B5 and vitamin C which pampers our skin at the underarms really well! Provitamin B5 turns into vitamin B5 after penetration into the skin, accelerating skin metabolism, promoting wound healing, supporting formation of new cells, and is deeply moisturising as well. Vitamin C protects against free radical damage, inhibits melanin formation, and helps to promote collagen formation. NIVEA Deodorant Whitening Happy Shave has 95 per cent of vitamin C to repair hair from shaving and plucking!
20141104_214330_wm
Here’s a summary of the benefits of using Nivea Whitening Happy Shave:
  • whiten and smoothen skin
  • repair damaged cells
  • reduce skin irritation from shaving
  • support skin regeneration
  • provide 48-hours of freshness
In just two weeks, you will see visible whitening on your underarms, with the possibility of skin reactions to shaving greatly reduced, as skin undergoes regeneration and repair.
NIVEA Deodorant Whitening Happy Shave has a floral, fruity scent of green apple, peach, lily of the valley and jasmine. I swear this is the best smelling deodorant I’ve ever tried, it is totally unlike the other deodorants that smells powdery and musky..
My review:

I would say I love this deodorant, although I don’t have the habit of using one usually.. It is so gentle and soothing on my skin, yes, not a single bit of irritation at all even when I use it on my underarms right after shaving! My underarms feel silky smooth and clean during my whole day out. The fruity and fresh scent is a major plus too, this scent can definitely pass off as a perfume hehe.. I love this scent to the extent that I can’t help sniffing at my own underarms when supporting myself on the MRT train, opps! (Hope no one saw what I did haha..)
20141105_231553_mr1415210136675s

You can redeem a FREE sample of NIVEA Happy Shave on Sample Store, so please go and get it. No hidden cost if you’re wondering! I believe most of you will be in love with this hehehe..

NIVEA Deodorant Whitening Happy Shave is available in a roll-on format at an affordable price of $4.90 for 50ml, and in a spray format for $9.10 for 150ml. It is available at Guardian, Watsons, Cold Storage, NTUC FairPrice outlets and other major retail stores.

5 Types of Food Photos that will get you more likes on Instagram

Who’s an instagram addict? *raises hand* Me me!

And so.. As you’ve seen the title, today’s post will be about food photos on instagram.

Who doesn’t love food? And who doesn’t love food that looks good? Not me.

When browsing through instagam, I always can’t help liking photos of food especially! And I also find that food photos seem to get me quite a good number of likes usually~
So here’s 5 types of food photos you can use to try getting more likes on instagram! :)

1) Cafe food

With the cafehopping trend that doesn’t seem to be dying down anytime soon, everyone will be thankful to you for introducing another cafe to them. Photos of food for two look better usually, with 2 mains, 1/2 drinks and 1/2 sides.. If you didn’t order sides or drinks, adding cultery, salt & pepper and even table decor (eg. flower vase) will help!
IMG_20140925_125934_wm

2) Desserts

“Dessert, you can never go wrong.” – Seriously, they look good and taste good most of the time.

20141025_214652_wm

3) Rainbow cake

Looking at a rainbow cake just make me happy, although I know that some doesn’t taste as nice as it looks.. And I’ll always be tempted to order a slice rainbow cake whenever I see one..
20141004_204346_wm

4) Latte art

Most people will be happy to see something cute. So something cute + food = like!

20141030_111123_wm

5) Llao Llao

This is a craze I’ll never understand. But judging from the queue at the mall, it will most likely be proportional to the number of likes you get hehe!
IMG_20140831_203234_wm

I hope the above works well for you guys.. Have fun instagramming! :)

Follow on instagram ok? I am @fishaberry :)
